A Halo-Halo Treat for the Kids

There’s no doubt that everyone, specially kids, love sweet food (except, perhaps, for formula milk, which is not sweet in my opinion . . . go taste it yourself). We parents, of course, are told by our doctors (and, yes, our parents) to minimize the consumption of sweets by our children. Bad for the tooth. Increases diabetes risks. The list goes on, although they didn’t tell us about the good things about eating sweets (like a study which says those with a sweet tooth eat more fruits). Still, just like any other food or anything in life, too much is usually not good.

Kids love minatamis na saging (sweetened banana, saba). They love milk and leche flan. They like macapuno. Now, what if you add ice to those ingredients? You get Razon’s halo-halo.

There’s a Razon’s in Makati City (Jupiter Street, at the end near EDSA) and Quezon City (Timog Avenue, at the end near Quezon Avenue). I heard Razon’s has branches in the Mall of Asia, TriNoMa, Market! Market!, Robinson’s Galleria and Greenhills, but I still have to explore those venues. You could also choose to drive and go to Pampanga, the birthplace of Razon’s.

Go enjoy.
