We are Probinsyanos.
We are proud because of, and not despite, the fact that we are Probinsyanos. This blog is meant to celebrate that fact.
We are here to celebrate our uniqueness, in the context and as a part of the Filipino identity. While we are here to deal with the stamp of inferiority that had been, and is, being unfairly labelled on probinsyanos, we are not out to prove superiority against any of our brother/sister Filipinos.
The reason is simple – we are Filipinos. In the eyes of the world, your strengths are mine, in the same way that my weaknesses are yours. We shall draw on our collective strength to deal with our individual weaknesses.
And we shall get it done. Really, we don’t have a choice but to get it done.
We cannot waste the sacrifice of our brothers/sisters who are working hard in foreign lands.
We cannot waste the blood willingly shed by those before us, who thought and fought for our motherland.
We cannot disappoint our children, whose future is in our hands.
We should not give up; we just can’t.
