Fatherhood changes people. This may be an overgeneralization, but it’s true as far as I’m concerned. A father begins to appreciate things that were glossed over when he was still a single man. He also discovers that many things are not as important as they used to.
The concept started way back in December 2005. The concept emerged at the same time when my first child was born. One gets to reflect on things while rocking a baby to sleep in the wee hours of the morning. All posts and topics, back then, were lumped in attyatwork.com, but there are a number of reasons for spinning off the “fatherhood” category as a separate blog. A separate blog should focus on a community and encourage other fathers to write/post about their experiences. This is a part of an experiment relating to Pinoy bloggers and the Pinoy blogging community.
Your suggestions on how to make this blog, which is intended to be a community of and written by fathers, helpful to fathers, are most welcome. Please feel free to share your thoughts (let’s have your suggestions and comments here). If you want to share an article with the rest of the community, please use the Contact-Submit form. Unless you plan to stay anonymous, please state your name for attribution purposes. There’s no guarantee that submissions will be published.
