Baby Einstein DVD Guarantee (or Recall?)

Just heard that Baby Einstein has just announced that it is giving a refund if parents are not satisfied with the products. According to Baby Einstein‘s website: “If you are not satisfied with your Baby Einstein DVD and have purchased it within the past sixty (60) days, please return the product with name, address and original receipt.” They call it “The Baby Einstein DVD Guarantee”.

Others, however, call it a recall, allegedly “because Disney seeks to avoid a class action lawsuit claiming ‘unfair and deceptive practices’ relating to their popular ‘Baby Einstein’ series.” I wonder what . . . that babies don’t turn out to be geniuses?

Not that it matters, anyway. I have no plans of returning our Baby Einstein DVDs. It helped, at least in keeping the baby preoccupied with something. While our baby may not grow to be a genius, at least he has a fighting chance of becoming one. =)

Did it work for your baby?
