Disneyland: Enzo at the Land of the Mouse

I never was a fan of Mickey and other Disney characters, except perhaps the late movies that I saw, like the Lion King. But to give our son (yeah right, nice excuse) the chance to see Disneyland up close, we brought him to Disneyland, Hongkong.

Timone, Disneyland Hongkong Here, with the wacky and full of energy Timone. You remember Timone, right? Timone is as wacky in the big screen as with the one at the theme park. Lion King. Hakuna matata. It means no worries for the rest of your days. We didn’t get to see his best bud, Pumba, and the king of the Jungle, Simba. Mufasa and Scar were not there, which makes you wonder what ever happened to the whole circle of life.

Pooh, Disneyland Hongkong I always wondered if Pooh is male or female. This was answered in the comedy show Bubble Gang (GMA7) some years back in one of its segments (with the central figure known as Brod Pete). If you ask Brod Pete, Pooh is a she (don’t ask me why, because this is a general patronage site). If we go by a bedtime story book I read to my son, Pooh is a she, which is my sole basis in saying Pooh is a she. Whether Pooh is a he or a she, I find it weird for him to go walking around with just a shirt.

I can’t tell all of these to my son, of course, who happens to love Pooh.

Mickey in DisneylandNow, don’t be deceived by the smiles on this photos. I mean, you’ll get the chance to have your photo taken with the characters, but only after waiting in line for some time. While it’s worth the wait, like in this photo with Mickey and Minnie, the royal mice family, I still hate waiting. So, if I were you, come early when you plan to visit Disneyland Hongkong. (By the way, always be on watch for fellow Pinoys, many of whom are actors working in the theme park.)
