Forms of Business and Registration

Posted on 24 July 2008 in Work and Money

After deciding to start a business (and the particular business to pursue), one of the important issues to be decided by the Pinoy Entrepreneur is the form of business entity (corporations, partnerships and sole proprietorships) that will serve as the vehicle in pursuing the business.

The choice of the form of business or business organization depends on various factors. In certain business, like banks, the law requires that the business entity must be a corporation. A small business, like your friendly sari-sari store, is better off as a sole proprietorship. The Pinoy Entrepreneur could also shift to another form of business if the circumstances later require that shift.

The discussion on the forms of business is at the Pinoy Entrepreneurs (click here). There are separate posts on how to register a corporation or a partnership. There’s also a discussion on how to register a business name. For the rest of the discussion on business registration or related matters, please proceed to Pinoy-Business.com.
