October 31 2008 a Holiday?

Posted on 14 October 2008 in Work and Money

There are a number of queries whether October 31, 2008 is a non-working holiday.  All Saints Day, already declared a special non-working holiday, falls on November 1, 2008 — a Saturday.  That’s why people are wondering if the day before (October 31) or the Monday after (November 3) would be declared as a holiday. Well, we haven’t heard of any proclamation on that matter. Not yet, anyway. Please proceed here for updates.

  9. Same here, our HRD sent an e-mail last Oct 26 stating of a long weekeng OCt 31-Nov 2..then claimed that they never said it’s a holiday, just a long weekend..confusing eh

  10. Awhile ago, they sent an e-mail saying that they are awaiting for Malacañang to announce Oct 31 as a holiday..we don’t have high hopes that it will be announced..common sense, government don’t have offices during saturdays..
