Vacations are generally welcome, for Pinoy Dads to relax or spend time with the family. There are a number of factors when planning a vacation. Others who want a more relaxed and not-so-crowded vacation would want to have it when others are not on vacation. One of the factors to consider, therefore, is the date of holidays, primarily on account of the “holiday economics” in the form of long weekends. Here’s the list of declared regular and national holidays for 2009 (unless otherwise indicated, the dates were fixed through Proclamation No. 1699):

Ping, we haven’t heard that October 31 was declared a holiday. It is a Saturday and since Nov 1-2 are already holidays, I don’t think October 31 will be declared a holiday.

So many are saying they’ve read about October 31 (or October 30 in some instances) being declared as a special holiday. I really haven’t read or seen such proclamation. Of course, I could be wrong, at meron nga talaga. As noted by belle, anyone who has a copy of the purported Proclamation 1809? Mahirap kase maniwala unless we see the document. Thanks in advance.
