Somewhere Over the Rainbow

In ordinary circumstances, I wouldn’t be caught dead posting this video. Call me a male chauvinist pig. Call me anything you want. It’s just so . . . how do I say it . . . unmanly.

However, when you’ve sang this song to your firstborn, in the wee hours of the morning while half of the world, your wife included, is sound asleep, you tend to appreciate it in a weird but good way.

Fatherhood changes people. It may be an overgeneralization, but it’s true as far as I’m concerned. You begin to appreciate things that you wouldn’t have considered as a single man.
